Layer 1 Protocol · v0.2
Infrastructure for the next network.
Protocol properties
The block producer is not elected, rotated, or randomly drawn. It emerges from the geometry of cryptographic hash space — deterministic, self-certifying, and manipulation-resistant by construction. The random leader election problem has a solution that requires no randomness at all.
The network reconfigures its own connection graph every block. No persistent peer structure, no identifiable bridge nodes, no stable attack surface. Gossip dissemination is not a configuration problem — it is a structural property of how the committee emerges.
Node eligibility requires permanent, non-recoverable economic commitment. Unlike recoverable stake, burned capital establishes a hard floor on Sybil identity cost — a floor that rises automatically as the attack scales.
Deterministic block finality at ~2 seconds per slot. Every Solidity contract, every Ethereum developer tool, every existing wallet deploys without modification. nd2 is infrastructure, not a migration tax.
